Save the Boobies! Etsy is now open for business!

Good morning, everyone! I say that because it is 3:04 am and I should be sleeping, since I have class in 5 hours...ANYWAY!

Instead of going to sleep, I have listed my first two items on my Etsy.com account! A hat sized large kids, and a scarf. My username on Etsy is snowpea86, and my items are listed! The scarf is $5, the hat is $7. These are probably some of the cheapest items I will list because I have either had the yarn for a long time or it was inexpensive yarn (e.g. acrylic). Most of the items I will be listing will be closer to $20-$40. I will also be making Rosaries, sooner rather than later, hopefully, and those will be listed priced depending on how much the cord costs and how long they take to make. Everything that is sold on this Etsy account is made BY ME and NO ONE ELSE, so I am putting 100% of the effort into whatever you are buying! It is, of course, made with love :) Also, the only form of payment I am accepting on the website is PayPal.

Please check out my account and stay updated! Thanks for everything!

Also, if you have any requests on what you would like me to make, please comment or email me! I am totally willing to make things for individuals, and if you live locally (Bellingham), you don't have to buy it through Etsy, you can buy it through me and save yourself $3.95 on shipping :D You can also pay me with cash, check or money order for the item in person.

Save the Boobies! Round One... A Success!

I would like to thank everyone who took one of the 52 pink carnations from me today in the VU and in Red Square today, and give a special thanks to those of you who donated! I brought the jar to encourage people to donate if they really wanted to, but the first person that asked me about the flowers said, "How much are you selling them for?" I had really just planned to give them away, and maybe make a combined total of $20-$25, MAYBE, from my friends. But I had no idea how generous people were!

I left my apartment at the Newman Center a couple minutes after 11:00am, and I didn't make it to Red Square until 11:35! I got rid of at least 5 flowers, and made at least $7! With the 15 minutes I was able to spend in Red Square, I made another $20-$30, and got a call from a friend of a friend who told me that HER friend wrote me a check for $20!!! How amazing is that?!

All in all, at the end of today, I was out of flowers at 3pm almost exactly, and I walked away from WWU today with $90 and some change! I gave away a fair amount of them for free, and kept the last, the 52nd flower, for myself.

Please keep checking back for more updates and events that I will be putting on! I will do many fundraisers similar to this one, so look for me again in Red Square with flowers, cookies, and tee-shirts! Thank you all so much! You are all amazing people!

Disclaimer - 100% of the money raised today will be sent to the Breast Cancer 3-Day in the form of a cashier's check, as a donation in my name, with a subtitle of "WWU Students and Staff". If I can make $10 more by Monday, the level of donation will be "Supporter" rather than "Friend". Thank you all for your amazing gifts :)
